Kava kava is another very effective sleep remedy. However it can be addictive and has been known to cause liver problems in those who are susceptible. It enhances dreams and results in mild euphoria. It is usually taken as a capsule.

Lemon balm has been used as a sleep remedy and to soothe the stomach for centuries. It offers a refreshing clean flavor and smell. You could make a tea with it or put into a satchet under your pillowcase.
